Named in commemoration of the year in which the first expertly crafted tequila was unveiled, 1800 tequila still follows the standards of the original formula, created in the year 1975. 1800 Anejo is crafted using up to eight year old 100% weber blue agaveand is matured in American and French oak barrels for no less than 6 months. This rich liquid has notes of buttery caramel, mild spices and a touch of smokiness, which is imparted by the finishing process.

Tasting notes
Nose: Agave, herbaceous oak, orange peel, smooth vanilla, butterscotch. Palate: Slightly sweet with buttery oak, mild agave notes, smooth. Finish: Well rounded, velvet nuances.

Product history
1800 is widely known as the year in which tequila was first successfully aged in wood. Originally known as Cuervo 1800 Tequila, 1800 Tequila was launched in 1975 as a premium sipping tequila. The Silver, Anejo and Reposado labels were introduced in 2004.Since 2008, it has been distributed in the US by Proximo Spirits.
