Tasting notes
Nose: Opens fresh, salty and clean, developing to sweet Malt dried over peat.

Palate: Ashes, sweet tar, beaches and smoking chimneys.

Finish: Long and lingering finish that replicates the palate with sea salt, smoke, bonfire ashes and a phenolic quality.
Consumption tips
BBQ:
There's no better smoky combo than Big Peat and well-charred meat. Try pairing your next dram with a barbecued burger or steak - the juicy flavours of the meat will enhance Big Peat's sweeter side, before packing a long and peaty punch.

Smoky Sour Cocktail:
Fill your cocktail shaker with ice, pour in a large measure of Big Peat, add the equivalent measure of lemon juice, a dash of sugar syrup and egg white. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds until cold. Strain into a glass with icethen garnish with a dehydrated lemon slice. Enjoy the Islay character of Big Peat as he imparts a deep, smoky charm on a classic Whisky Sour!
Recipe
This is a small batch bottling, without colouring or chill-filtration and only contains Islay Malt Whiskies, including Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and (even the elusive) Port Ellen, to name but a few!
