Tasting notes
Nose: Opens with sea air, gentle smoke, manuka honey and a hint of dried seaweed.

Palate: Initially shows a maritime character, leading to sugary shortbread, dried oak and gristy cereals.

Finish: A distinctly spicy finish bringing puffs of smoke, Madagascan vanilla and cinnamon pancakes
Consumption tips
Toasted Marshmallows:
Toasted marshmallows or s'mores make the perfect accompaniment to our Mysterious Malt. Shut your eyes and let the sweet, smoky and biscuity flavours transport you to a cosy beach bonfire on the rugged rural shores of Campbeltown.

Blood and Sand Cocktail:
Light the candles, dim the lights and pour yourself a rich, red cocktail. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add 1 part The Gauldrons, 1 part Rosso Vermouth, 1 part Cherry Heering and 1 part fresh orange juice. Give it a good shake before fine straining into a coupe. Garnish with lemon peel and enjoy!
